Conchos

What is western tack without conchos? Well, we've got 'em here. Several styles, sizes and types in miniature to choose from as well, in Sterling Silver, as well as Nickel Plated. Add them to bridles, breastcollars, saddles....you name it!

Silver Conchos

Sterling silver hand-made conchos. Available plain and also pin and wire-mounted versions. You can solder wires or pins to the backs of these yourself as well.

• Plain--glue these into place or solder them onto other items for custom effects. Suitable for horn caps on saddles.
• Wire-Mounted--thin wires soldered on the backs of these make the conchos suitable to apply to bridles, breastcollars and other thin items. A little glue on the back can be used to help fasten them securely. The thin wire reduces bulk on the backside (and is easily covered with a liner of skiver leather).
• Pin-Mounted--sturdy pins soldered to the backs allow these conchos to be used as permanent fasteners for saddles.

Cast Pewter Conchos

These cast conchos feature a peg on the back for easy mounting. Simply make a hole in the item and pass the peg through then bend it over. A touch of glue will keep the concho from moving or spinning. Alternatively you can easily snip off the mounting peg and attach the conchos directly with super glue. (This method is best for thin strap items such as bridles.)

CC50b, CC51b & CC57b come with two mounting pegs, which can be bent over to create a bar and used for browband conchos

The larger oval and square conchos (CC54, CC55 & CC56) come with three mounting pegs. Two can be bend over to form a bar, and the third to make a hook to work as doll buckles! (Pegs can be snipped off if you prefer to simply glue the parts on)

Etched & Engraved Conchos

These photo-etched conchos feature lovely detailed miniature engraving on them. Available in Nickel or Gold-Plate, the engraved conchos can be glued onto many tack items. Also you can solder pins or wires to these conchos, or solder them to other etched or silver hardware items.

Rio Rondo's Slotted Conchos will accommodate either 3/32" or 1/16" Leather lace skived to be thin enough to pass through the slots. Slotted conchos feature a simulated rope edge... some feature engraved decoration on the surface as well.

Etched conchos are available in nickel plate and gold plate.

Browband Conchos

Add these to any browband to put a 'concho on the corner'. Sterling Silver Browband Conchos are individually hand made. Silver Browband Conchos are sold by the pair.

The Cast Pewter Browband Conchos feature two long "prongs" on the back, which you can bend to form a loop/bar shape and trim to fit. Cast Browband Conchos are sold individually.
