Specials and Blowouts

Help us get this stuff outta here!

To put it bluntly, we have stuff. Rather than just keep it forever, we're going to put some of that stuff up for sale on this page. You may even see some stuff that isn't model horse related.

Some items will be one-time-only, some items are experimental and if they seem to sell well we'll carry them as a regular item. I've made a tool to keep this page up to date like the resins availability page, and unlike the neglected former specials page.

We're also listing what still remained from that old "specials" page, somewhere down below.

Just note the Lot Number or Item Number when ordering! First-come, First-serve; the minimum order of $10.00 applies as well as the usual shipping and handling charges.

HD11 - Mini-Hold Wax - $3.00/pot
We've switched our basic sticky wax to the Bard's product, and it's really sticky. It may be too sticky for some people's tastes, and we have some of the Mini-Hold Wax that's not nearly as sticky. Personally, I don't think it's quite as sticky as it used to be, but it's stiffer than the Bard's stuff and might work better for some folks. Let's go a little cheaper on these, $3 versus $3.50.

TL801 - Pin Vise - $7.75
This is the thing you need when you want to hold something with a really small diameter, like tiny drillls, headless pins or pins from the wrong end, tiny pokey things for making tiny holes (in leather, thin metal, or your pop-can alcohol stove), or even holding the rod for winding your own tiny custom jump rings. I'll even see about including a piece of really fine drill rod so you can try that last thing if you don't have enough to drive you nuts.
No photo yet., but what I described here is how I made the very small rings in the photo below - the smaller rings were wound around a regular straight pin. They are *very* easy to lose.

Various - New Concho Sheets - Intro Sale! $5.00/sheet
These are the very first of the new concho sheets, the ones with a single pattern across the whole sheet in various sizes. They're $7.50/sheet, but let's blow some out at $5.00 a sheet for the people that actually look at this list(!) Be sure to use the modified part numbers below.
There's seven different new sheets, but it looks like we only have four of them so far.
You can see the artwork and info here.
500-CA147s - Brocade, nickel
500-CA154s - Filligree (open) Star, nickel
500-CA155s - Star - Rope Edge, nickel
500-CA205s - Heart, nickel
- - Limited to stock on hand.

LK2bon - Bone White Pliver - $2.75 - 5"x 6" cut piece
This looks like a chrome-dyed (?) top grain, like the black and brown skivers we recently can't get. Thin - a bit thicker than skiver but thinner than the usual leathers, supple, and a very nice hand. Most likely a one-time-only item, but if you buy some and really want more please let me know.
Shown with black and tan lace on a copy paper background to attempt to illustrate color - it's *not* stark white.

HD16 - Tiny Bull Snaps - $1.75 pkg of 2
At least they look more like bull snaps than anything else we have, and they fit 3/32 inch lace (pictured) *snugly* when closed - left open they're a nice fit with 1/8 inch lace, but it could slip off. These don't require a jump ring to attach your lead, they have an open hook on the end that you push closed. I don't think it's suitable for bending open and closed repeatedly, and if you want we can probably push the hook closed for you before shipping (ask). If I can find a closed loop version I'll pick some up., but there's no sign of any now.
Silver plated brass, shinier than photo because of my greasy fingerprints.
Dimensions:
0.450" overall length with hook open, 0.330" body length, 0.144" body width, 0.186" snap width not including lever.

LK7nro - Roughout, Natural - $2.25 - 5"x 6" cut piece
Lambskin roughout. Vegetable tanned lambskin, fine grained and supple, ranges in thickness from fairly thin to fairly thick - say, a hair under 2 oz to about 3 oz(if you have a preference, please specify when ordering). Good for general scale rougout use - saddles, chaps, maybe moccassins, boots, or possibly scale garments and bags.

LOT601 - Gold Twist Beads, formerly part #GF620 - $3.00 pack of 20
Packs of 20, have 10 on hand. These are shorter than GF720, about 1/8".

LOT618 - Cast Pewter Horse Ears - $6.00 pair
Ok, these are truly "odd", but may be useful for sculptors/customizers. Traditional scale ears (left and right set) with 1/2"+ long connector peg (1/8" plus diam) to set into a head and sculpt around to add (or replace) ears. Can be sanded etc and shaped more.
- - Only one pair left. Do we need to see about making more?

LOT625 - FB44 3/32 Buckle/Nickel and Gold Plated - $3.50 Each
Have 9 in Nickel, 6 in Gold plate. Specify color when ordering.

- Leather Dyes, Quart - $20.00 Each
To purchase any of these dyes, please indicate type of dye and color when ordering. We only have one bottle of each listed below, when they're gone, they're gone.
Buy 3 or more bottles and get them for $15 each.
One bottle each of the following:
